You Can Almost Taste the Reform

Sarah Palin, according to the Washington Post, charged the State of Alaska a per diem for nights that she spent at home – and brought her children to campaign events on the government’s dime. It doesn’t get a whole lot more mavericky than that, does it?

The whole article lists a number of things that Palin claimed compensation for that on the face of them seem dubious. They also mention that she went back and amended two dozen per diem claims to delete the fact that she was staying at her own house – but she still kept the money.
